A month passed since the kaiju's attack and Haru was trying hard to figure out a message from hieroglyphics that he found. Miki went up to him and tapped his shoulder. "Papa, is it okay if Haruki comes to play?" the seven year old asked, making her paleontologist father stop working. "Oh hai," he said slightly distracted. "I'm sorry, I'm just a little tired from working. These hieroglyphics mean something. I just need to figure out what they say and show it to everyone." He grabbed another stone slab and on it was the bird kaiju, which caused Haru to slam the slab down. "Damn it!" he exclaimed, rubbing his temples and tried to make the memory fade. He looked behind him and saw Miki still behind him and gently embraced her. "I'm sorry Miki, I'm so sorry," he said to his daughter quietly. They both saw Haruki and his father, police chief Daiki Fujiyama and his mother, special reporter Fuyuko Fujiyama standing at the front door. "You want saki?" Daiki asked, holding up a glass bottle. "I brought my own." Haru shook his head in response to the question. "Nah, I'm drunk enough," he mumbled to the police officer. "I think I'm close to figuring out this mystery. If only these hieroglyphics weren't so hard to crack." Haruki looked at the slab and read it out loud. "Be...ware...Gyaos..." he said out loud. He saw ridges on the ends of the slabs and began to rearrange them. "What are you doing?" Haru asked the child. "These flat rocks look like a puzzle..." Haruki answered him, sliding each slab into place. "I bet I can help you slide them into place. Here we go!" They looked at the hieroglyphics and they began to tell a message. "Beware the horror of Gyaos, the shadow of evil," Haruki read each slab individually. "What we thought was our ultimate weapon against our conquerors was our worst nightmare. If one should find a special bead, he shall be able to control our only hope. The guardian of the universe, Gamera." Haru became amazed by the story the slabs told. "So the Atlantean empire created Gyaos and Gamera?" Miki asked, wide-eyed. "It still doesn't explain this," Haru said, pulling out a stone slab with an odd pattern engraved in the center. "I got this one from an Eskimo family." They looked at the pattern, but couldn't figure out the strange symbols. "Maybe they're waves," Daiki said to them. "Turtles are great swimmers." Haru placed his fingers on his chin, thinking. "Maybe," he said, thinking hard about it. A man then came stumbling into the house, looking for Daiki. "Oh thank god I found you!" he shouted, slurring on his speech. "You're not going to believe this, but I saw a UFO with my own two eyes!" Daiki raised an eyebrow, thinking that the man was delusional. "Did you have too much at the bar?" he asked, making the man shake his head. "No, I sobered right up the moment I saw it!" the man shouted, shaking with enthusiasm. They all heard Daiki's radio go off, reporting a fire in a neighborhood not too far from Miki's neighborhood. They raced to the scene, ready to put out the fire.
